Freedom Boat Club has confirmed plans to grow its presence in New Zealand with new locations in Christchurch and Queenstown. These sites are currently in development and will join the already operating Auckland club.

The company’s model is designed to make boating more accessible. Members pay a subscription fee and in return can reserve boats from the club’s fleet without taking on the responsibilities of ownership. Tasks such as storage, maintenance, and insurance are handled by the club.

At present, the Auckland location is available to members, offering access to Sea Ray and Rayglass vessels for use in the Hauraki Gulf. Once Christchurch and Queenstown launch, the service will extend to the South Island, creating new opportunities for people interested in recreational boating.

Further details on the official opening dates for the Christchurch and Queenstown clubs will be released in the coming months. Information about membership and updates can be found on the official website: freedomboatclub.co.nz.
