Boating is a relaxing and enjoyable activity, whether you're exploring calm lakes, cruising along the coast, or participating in water sports. A key safety tip is to always wear a life jacket. Even if you are a strong swimmer, accidents like capsizing or falling overboard can occur.
Wearing a life jacket provides buoyancy and helps keep you safe until help arrives. Be sure that life jackets are available for all passengers on board and that they fit properly.

Top Highlights from the Singapore Yachting Festival 2025

The Singapore Yachting Festival 2025 wrapped up in style at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, running from 10 to 13 April. Despite the wet weather, the event welcomed over 12,000 visitors, showing just how much love there is for the world of yachting. This year’s edition was bigger and better than ever, with more than 100 participating brands — including over 20 making their debut at the show. On display were 70 yachts, including 10 premieres, two global debuts, and 15 yachts longer than 24 metres.
A Robot Helped Decorate This 165-Foot Superyacht

If you think superyachts are just about luxury, Asani takes it one step further, into the world of art, technology, and pure elegance. This 165-foot beauty is part of Benetti’s popular B. Now 50 series, and it’s not just another fancy boat. It’s a floating masterpiece.
One of the most interesting things about Asani is how personalized it is. From the layout of the rooms to the art on the walls, everything feels tailor-made. It’s the first yacht in this series with a new interior layout. The owner even added a custom outdoor rain shower on the private balcony — only one other yacht in the series has that.
Interview: The Pros and Cons of Houseboats & Liveaboards

I know, it feels so good when you wake up in the morning and having the water right outside your window is something special. The gentle rocking of the boat is like a natural lullaby. There's a certain calmness that comes with living on the water. And the views! You get to see the sunrise and sunset over the water, and it's beautiful every single time. But, let's be real, it's not all smooth sailing. Maintenance is a constant chore. Space is another thing. Living on a boat, you quickly learn to appreciate minimalism.

Ever Wonder What The Largest Ships In The World Are?

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to sail on a ship so huge, it feels like a floating city? Cruise ships are the largest ships in the world, and they’re packed with everything you could possibly dream of, restaurants, entertainment, and even pools on the open sea! But how did these massive ships come to be, and what makes them so extraordinary? Even cruise ships have been around for more than 200 years.
Boaters Demographics Changed During COVID-19 Pandemic

Boating has traditionally been considered an expensive hobby, with the average boater being middle-aged. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about changes in the demographics of boat owners, with younger generations entering the recreational boating scene. According to data from the Marine Manufacturers Association, the median age of a boat owner historically was 58 years old. However, in recent years, the average age of first-time boaters has dropped to 46 years old.
The Pros and Cons of Buying a Used Boat

Owning a boat is a dream shared by many, but it can be a significant financial investment. For those who are looking to get out on the water without breaking the bank, buying a used boat can be an appealing option. However, before diving into a used boat purchase, it’s essential to understand the pros and cons of this decision. The used boat market offers a wide variety of options, from sailboats to speedboats, at a lower cost than new boats.
