Well! It is believed by some, the superstition that whistling will tempt the winds to blowback, resulting in a chaotic voyage.


Meaning, whistling on a boat would bring bad weather and a dangerous situation while you're out at sea.

It’s simply a myth. Some sailors believe in it and some don't.
