An Austrian sailor who capsized in the Indian Ocean has been rescued after his catamaran overturned.

The sailor used numerous methods to alert authorities he had run into trouble around 3:30pm on Friday before being rescued by the Seapearl.
Luckily, he was found overnight by the Seapearl about 60 nautical miles (111km) west of Kalbarri, in the state's MidWest region.
Grainy footage of him taken during the challenging rescue showed him waving to his rescuers from a life raft in dark waters.
After taking a rest on the Seapearl, he went back to his country.
