It has nice facilities and seems a little more conveniently located compared to One 15 Marina only that you’ll hardly find available berths. You’ll be lucky to find a berth here. It is within walking distance to Harbourfront and surrounded by lots of nice restaurants and apartments. Raffles Marina The Raffles Marina is quite far from the city and is best suited for those working around the area. The environment is quite lovable and livable. It’s quiet, pleasant, and loved by most cruising sailors. Despite the distance being a disadvantage, berthing fees here are almost the same as in Keppel Bay and One 15. Republic of Singapore Yacht Club RSYC is a great marina too. The location is decently convenient as it is in close proximity to Clementi. The Only complaint you may have heard here is the fact that the marina is a bit rolly. Your boat may be tossed around more often due to the wakes generated by the ferry’s terminal. The good news is that RSYC recent installed a breakwater at a great cost, so the complaint is no longer true! It is a great place to berth a boat and has some of the least expensive berthing fees in Singapore. These four are quite the most popular marinas in Singapore. Aberdeen Marina Club Aberdeen Marina Club in Hong Kong is a great place to berth a boat in this Southeast Asian country. The environment is quite friendly and pleasant. Although most of the liveaboard community here are ex-pats living in Hong Kong, membership of this marina is based on invitation. Some other marinas in Hong Kong include the Lantau Yacht Club, and the Hong Kong Sailing Club, among others. Royal Phuket Marina Also known as RPM, this marina in Thailand enjoys a strategic location advantage in the center of Phuket’s eastern seaboard. It is also in close proximity to the popular Phang Nga Bay. The marina is no doubt one of the best throughout Thailand, with state-of-the-art facilities and services. Other popular Thailand marinas include the Krabi Boat Lagoon, the Boat Lagoon Marina, and the Phuket Yacht Haven, among others. What Marinas allow houseboats in Asia? Eventually, people realized that they could use anchors to their advantage while at sea instead of just making offerings with them. Then, the first known wooden anchors were created by Greeks in around the 5th century B.C. and these models were later improved in different sizes and materials. Anchors are one of the oldest inventions in the world. In modern times, anchors are still used for the same purpose. Anchors are typically used to keep boats in one place, but they can be used for other purposes such as attaching them underwater to rocks and coral reefs so that boats won't drift away. There are very, very few boat sales that any party to the transaction would say that was easy. There are a lot of details and complexities to be worked through in all but the smallest boat sale or purchase. It’s a complicated process that gets more complex when boats are in far-flung locations in Asia. In a nutshell, it’s more often than not hard to sell your boat, especially if your buyer or the ‘right price’ is not in Asia or where your boat is currently located. Here are some factors that make boats hard to sell: 1. Location If people have to travel too far to see your boat, they won’t. You’ll attract fewer buyers, UNLESS … it’s very well priced. It’s hard to find the person who is willing to travel and pay you TOP dollar for your beloved boat. Viewings and selling the boat. If your boat is in a distant location, it will cost you money to fly the professional to your boat to represent her to a potential buyer. You can try to get the local neighbour or boat cleaner to assist you, but as mentioned before, selling a boat is complex and it’s so easy to lose your only potential buyer. Leaving them in the hands of someone who you get to ‘open the boat’ is generally not a smart move. You may find you have to spend your marketing budget all over again to find that next potential buyer. 2. Lack of information or slow response by the owner If people won’t immediately travel to inspect your boat, a recent and detailed in-water survey being made available to them will certainly help them move forward in their enquiry and increase the perception of the boat's price and value. If there is no survey or well-presented maintenance records, this can seriously put off a buyer especially if they will need to travel to view your boat for sale. An unwillingness by the owner to provide information or the owner is being difficult or unforthcoming with information may generate a perception that there is something to hide. This will make your boat hard to sell. 3. Price of a boat for sale The price you set for your boat will determine how easily it sells (or doesn't). If you set too high of a price, then people might not be able to afford it. If you set too low of a price, then people will think there is something wrong with the boat and won't purchase it at all. So, make sure that you set the right price for your boat so that people will be interested in buying it from you. 4. Condition of a boat for sale When selling a boat, you'll need to make sure it's in good condition. If it has an issue with its motor or hull, you'll have to fix those before trying to sell it. Boats, boats, boats … seemingly everywhere. How to sell your boat when there are so many boats on the market? In Asia, it can be difficult to sell your boat. There are many reasons for this, but here are some of them. 1) The Boat Market is Oversaturated It’s a fact: there are too many boats being sold in Asia. This has been a problem for quite some time now and shows no signs of changing anytime soon. There are simply too many boats for the amount of money that buyers have available. 2) Too Many New Boats Being Built This is a huge problem for selling used boats because it means there are even more new ones coming onto the market each year. As boat builders continue to build new models every year (and they do), they also tend to hold onto their older models longer than they should, which keeps them off the market longer as well. The result is even more competition for buyers who want newer models! 3) Buyers Want Newer Boats With More Features Than Used Boats Can Offer Buyers want newer models with more features than what used boats offer; this means that most used boats that were built 6 or 10 years ago just aren't in the demand. But the number of boats sitting on the market and not selling in Asia has always bothered us. You get real-time feedback from the market on what your boat may currently be worth which allows you to then more accurately price your boat closer to the market value. This means you’re much more likely to sell your boat faster if it is priced according to the market, rather than what you wish you would have achieved. 3. Plan a comprehensive digital marketing strategy according to your boat’s advantages and disadvantages. The first step to marketing your boat is to create a comprehensive digital marketing strategy. The goal of this strategy is to connect with potential buyers and help them understand the benefits of your boat. When you’re selling a yacht, know its advantages and disadvantages. If it’s a luxury vessel, point out these features in your ads. On the other hand, if it has been used for commercial purposes or has sustained damage from exposure to the elements, don’t emphasize these features in your ads.
