You love the feeling of sailing, of being at sea, and most importantly, you love the fact that you can use your boat to generate passive income for you. Boats aren’t cheap. That’s why many people talk themselves out of owning a boat because they can be expensive. But admit it. Boating is LOTS of fun too! Nothing beats a long day of boating, beach time, grilling at the picnic table, and creating family experiences and memories of a lifetime. If buying a boat is something you have wanted for years but tend to think of boats as money pits (because they are), it doesn’t mean you can’t turn this depreciating asset into a profit center. Or, at the very least, recoup some of your hard-earned cash. You can have a boat of your own while making a little profit with it as well. It is quite doable. You can make boat ownership work for you. - Unlock the Key to Selling Your Boat Without Costly Brokerage Fees and Endless Frustration
If you've been struggling and feeling frustrated trying to know if it's a buyer's or seller's market and why it's important for maximizing your boat sale profits, without having to spend weeks doing tedious research…You’re not alone! - Basco Boating News - Written by < Back Share Unlock the Key to Selling Your Boat Without Costly Brokerage Fees and Endless Frustration Apr 9, 2023 If you've been struggling and feeling frustrated trying to know if it's a buyer's or seller's market and why it's important for maximizing your boat sale profits, without having to spend weeks doing tedious research…You’re not alone! In the boating industry, a buyer's market occurs when the supply of boats for sale surpasses the demand from potential buyers. This can happen due to various reasons, such as a weak economy or a decrease in interest in boating (like post-covid when people started travelling again). When this happens, sellers may need to offer incentives or reduce their prices to attract buyers. On the other hand, a seller's market is when the demand for boats exceeds the supply available for sale. This can happen due to increased popularity in boating or a limited supply of a particular type of boat as happened during the covid lockdowns. In such a situation, sellers may be able to ask for higher prices and may not need to offer many incentives to attract buyers. Naturally, the ideal scenario would be a seller's market when you're planning to sell your boat. However, it can be challenging to determine whether it is a buyer's or a seller's market. If you've been struggling and feeling frustrated trying to learn how to determine if it's a buyer's or seller's market and why it's important for maximizing your boat sale profits, without having to spend weeks doing tedious research… You’re not alone! In fact, most of the Boat Owners I work with tell me that before using our Boat Market Research system they wasted MONTHS trying to figure it out by themselves. It’s no wonder! If you type “how to find a buyer for your boat” or “how do I know if it's a buyer's market or a seller's market & why it matters to your boat sale profits, without hours of tedious research” into Google you’ll be bombarded with thousands of ads, techniques, and brokers all saying completely opposite things and often incomplete strategies… How are you ever supposed to piece all of this together into an actual boat sale plan? That’s where we come in… I’ve spent years of my life studying, researching, and mastering everything under the belt when it comes to helping people know if it's a buyer's market or a seller's market & why it matters to your boat sale profits, and I have broken down the best practices into what I call the Boat Market Research framework. With this framework, you'll be able to bypass hours or weeks of tedious research and get the insights you need in a streamlined and efficient way. If you want to finally break through the noise, shave months off the boat sale learning curve, and simply follow a proven step-by-step process to sell your boat faster and at a good price, so you can move on with your life (or boat upgrade)... I’m here to help. Click here to schedule your call. Talk Soon, Dione P.S. This is a stress-free Sell Your Boat discovery call to help you get the clarity you need to know how to find a buyer for your boat. But , if you're someone who's boat is not seriously for sale, or happy going with the flow, it sells when it sells, or wants a traditional 10% success based brokerage service, or is not willing to take advice about boat pricing, boat marketing and boat selling, then this call might not be for you. However, if you're tired of wasting your time and energy and want to sell your boat now at a good price, ideally with a boat value of over USD300k, and you're serious about selling (not just testing the market), and you want guaranteed results with lower transaction costs, then I can help! Click here to schedule your call. Media Gallery ← Previous Next →

- The Pros and Cons of Living on a Dive Boat Liveaboard
If you're a fan of diving, snorkeling, or just spending time on the water, you may have heard about the concept of a liveaboard. - Basco Boating News - Written by BASCO Team < Back Share The Pros and Cons of Living on a Dive Boat Liveaboard BASCO Team Apr 30, 2023 If you're a fan of diving, snorkeling, or just spending time on the water, you may have heard about the concept of a liveaboard. If you're a fan of diving, snorkeling, or just spending time on the water, you may have heard about the concept of a liveaboard. It's a type of boat or yacht that's basically a floating hotel room! But not just any hotel room - it's specifically designed for people to live on board for extended periods, usually for the purpose of diving, snorkeling, or other water-based activities. For diving enthusiasts and ocean lovers, living on a dive boat liveaboard can be a dream come true. You can wake up every morning to the sound of the waves and dive into crystal clear waters, exploring the stunning beauty of the underwater world. But, as with any lifestyle, there are both pros and cons to living on a dive boat liveaboard. In this blog, we'll explore the advantages and disadvantages of this unique lifestyle, and help you decide whether it's right for you. Pros of Living on a Dive Boat Liveaboard Unbeatable Access to Diving and Water Activities: One of the most significant advantages of living on a liveaboard is that you have immediate and easy access to diving and other water-based activities. You can easily dive or snorkel multiple times a day, without having to worry about transportation or accommodation. Convenience: A liveaboard allows divers to stay close to the dive sites, avoiding long boat rides or multiple trips from land-based accommodations. This can save time and provide a more efficient and convenient diving experience. Sense of community: Living on a dive boat liveaboard means that you're living in a tight-knit community of like-minded people who share your passion for the ocean and diving. You'll make lifelong friends and create unforgettable memories. Affordable living: Living on a dive boat liveaboard can be surprisingly affordable. While the initial investment in a boat can be high, the ongoing costs of living on a boat can be much lower than living on land. You won't have to pay rent, utilities, or property taxes, and you can anchor in free or low-cost locations. Access to remote and world-renowned dive locations: A liveaboard provides the opportunity to access remote and less frequently visited dive locations that are not easily accessible from land-based accommodations. Cons of Living on a Dive Boat Liveaboard Living on a dive boat liveaboard can be an incredible adventure, but it's important to consider the potential drawbacks before committing to this lifestyle. Here are some cons to keep in mind: Limited living space: One of the biggest cons of living on a dive boat liveaboard is that you'll have limited living space. You'll need to be creative with your storage solutions and be prepared to live in a smaller space than you're used to. This can be challenging if you're used to having a lot of personal space or if you have a lot of belongings. Maintenance and repairs: Boats require ongoing maintenance and repairs, and living on a dive boat liveaboard means that you'll be responsible for maintaining your own boat. This can be time-consuming and expensive. You'll need to be prepared to handle repairs yourself or hire someone to do them for you, which can be difficult if you're in a remote location. Weather-dependent: Living on a dive boat liveaboard means that you're at the mercy of the weather. You'll need to be prepared for rough seas, storms, and other weather-related challenges. This can make it difficult to plan activities or travel, and it can also be challenging if you're prone to seasickness. Limited access to amenities: You'll also have limited access to amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, and medical facilities. You'll need to plan your provisions carefully and be prepared to travel to shore when necessary. This can be challenging if you have specific dietary needs or medical conditions that require regular attention. Despite these potential drawbacks, many people find that the pros of living on a dive boat liveaboard outweigh the cons. If you're an adventurous person who loves being on the water and exploring new places, living on a dive boat liveaboard can be an incredible way to experience the world. But before you take the plunge into this lifestyle, it's important to be prepared for the challenges that come with it. Living on a boat requires adaptability, resourcefulness, and a willingness to let go of some of the comforts of land-based living. It's important to have a solid plan in place before embarking on this adventure. That being said, if you're up for the challenge, living on a liveaboard can be an unforgettable experience. And if you're in the market for one, you may want to check out the recent listing of the 2010 Darvin 92' Dive Boat Liveaboard. This luxurious and spacious vessel is designed for avid divers and adventurers seeking an unforgettable underwater experience. The boat is equipped with all the necessary amenities for daily living. Her current owner owns a PADI 5 Star Dive Center which conducts daily dives around Lombok and arranges diving safaris in world-renowned locations. This means that you'll have access to some of the best diving spots in the town, with experienced instructors who know the area well. Click Here for More details Media Gallery ← Previous Next →

Back Previous Next September 9, 2020 Asia Pacific Boating | Basco Boating announces Asia Online Boat Show and Expo Basco Boating announces Asia Online Boat Show and Expo BY APB STAFF on 8 Sep 2020 The online boat show and expo is aimed at helping first-time boat buyers navigate the industry Singapore-based boat advisory company Basco Boating has announced the launch of a two-day virtual Boat Buyer Expo. The expo is aimed at first-time boat buyers and boaters who are new to Asia, and takes place from October 10-11. Participants, who can register for free at the event’s website , can also register for over 30 webinars on topics such as “how to charter a boat or a superyacht”, “how to build or buy a new boat without breaking the bank,” and “what resources you need to make the boating lifestyle a dream.” The concurrent online Asia Online Boat Show runs from October 10-31, and will remain live until December 21, 2020, for further sales and inquiries. Basco expects around 10,000 ‘attendees’ during the three-week show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG0nFM7TeGY “We are thrilled to be supporting and connecting the boating industry’s SMEs with the Online Boat Show marketplace and the Boat Buyer Expo,” says Basco Boating co-founder Dione Schick. “By bringing a regional approach to boat shows we believe this will provide economies of scale, reduce costs, and significantly ramp up exposure for these businesses. We’re delighted to be leading the charge on this for the benefit of the industry,” Schick adds that it is challenging for many owners to sell a boat in Asia and that she hopes the event can provide an alternative to the traditional boat brokerage model. The pandemic has curtailed almost all physical Asian boat shows this year, with brokers and buyers turning to online events to fill the gap. The annual Singapore Yacht Show, initially rescheduled from its original dates in March, was cancelled last week . The inaugural Hong Kong Yacht Show , slated for November 19-22, is now the only physical boat show set to take place in Asia this year.
