  • Online Auction Boat Sale Strategy Session by BASCO Boating

Looking for a reliable and affordable boating service? Look no further than Basco Boating Service! We offer a wide range of services including Online Auction Boat Sale Strategy Session < Back Online Auction Boat Sale Strategy Session Free 30 minutes Book Now About Are you a boat owner who wants to sell your boat fast? For example, here are two different situations that shows why a fast boat sale needed to take place: 1. A sailboat owner got a new job and was leaving the country in four weeks. He was almost to the point of giving the boat away if it didn’t sell. You can see how this motivated him to sell fast. He needed it closed in less than one month which became more even important than the sales price. 2. The decedent’s estate had to sell a boat for the proceeds. The boat’s condition was deteriorating because of disuse. Suddenly, the annual berthing contract renewal came due. The sale became more pressing to avoid imposing visitor berthing rates under a short-term boat berthing contract. Berthing rate increases and declining value accelerated the need to sell. There are several ways an Online Boat Auction can be used to sell your boat fast. It depends upon your selling goals, objectives and priorities. For example, 1. No Reserve Online Auction Rather than giving your boat away consider a no reserve online boat auction. A 7-day, no reserve online auction generates high levels of excitement and bidding activity. Your boat sells and probably at a higher price than the giveaway option above. However, it is not for the faint-hearted, but it is certainly suitable in some situations. This is how our sailboat owner above, sold at a reasonable price which was much more than he expected. Most importantly, it sold very fast, and he was able to move on with his life. Hopping on that plane to his new job, new country, without worry of a long-distance transaction. One happy boat seller. 2. Reserved Online Auction Similarly, you could start an online boat auction with an opening bid of $1. The confidential reserve price you set is met before the boat transacts. You promote the event with paid marketing to generate maximum exposure. Implementing a 2–3-week marketing campaign creates excitement, awareness, and most importantly, bids for your boat. Spending USD 1–200 per day on marketing gets the word out for pre-auction viewings, offers and bids. 3. Reverse (Dutch) Auction This is good for higher value boats when the owner is serious about selling. Starting with an optimistic "buy-now" price, the boat price is reduced by a fixed amount (e.g. $25k) every month until the boat sells to the "watcher" who is waiting for the price to drop before he makes his move. • Shocking Revelation: Where did Anchors come from?

Anchors are one of the oldest inventions in the world - Basco Boating News - Written by Aziza Ahmed < Back Share Shocking Revelation: Where did Anchors come from? Aziza Ahmed Apr 30, 2022 Anchors are one of the oldest inventions in the world The history of the anchor as a symbol of navigation is a long one. In ancient times, anchors were mostly made of stone or wood. They were heavy enough to keep the ship from drifting away. Nowadays, they are usually made of iron and shaped like a cross. An anchor is a weight that a ship drops down to the seabed to hold itself in place. Back in the old days, it's hard to imagine sailors setting out on their sea adventures without the anchor. Historical records indicate that the earliest versions of anchors were used as religious offerings. The first recorded use of an anchor was in about 1250 B.C. when a Greek merchant ship found itself sinking off the coast of Crete. The crew had no idea how to save the vessel, but one man remembered the bronze anchor in his cargo hold. He threw the piece overboard, and, much to his surprise and that of his crew, the ship immediately stopped sinking! The man felt that he had been saved by God, so he vowed to throw an anchor into the sea whenever he passed near Crete. Over time, other sailors who had experienced similar good fortune began following suit, and throwing anchors into the sea became somewhat of ritualistic practice. Eventually, people realized that they could use anchors to their advantage while at sea instead of just making offerings with them. Then, the first known wooden anchors were created by Greeks in around the 5th century B.C. and these models were later improved in different sizes and materials. Anchors are one of the oldest inventions in the world. In modern times, anchors are still used for the same purpose. Anchors are typically used to keep boats in one place, but they can be used for other purposes such as attaching them underwater to rocks and coral reefs so that boats won't drift away. There are many different types of anchors, including: Stockless Anchors Bruce Anchor Mushroom Anchor Plow Anchor Danforth Anchor Different types of anchors are appropriate for different kinds of ships and conditions. For example, temporary anchors on cargo ships should be able to come up easily with minimal effort, while permanent anchors on cruise ships need to provide the utmost stability in rough seas. So, that’s all about ANCHORS. I hope you found this information useful Best Dione P.S. “Hope is the anchor of life”, I agree. Without hope, we wouldn't survive. Hope motivates us to succeed. Hope keeps us afloat, and we need hope to get through life. Agree? Even you need hope in order to ensure that your search for a boat will bring you success. But what else do you need with hope?
