There are countless superstitions on the sea. Some seem strange today, but some sailors still cling to them. There are countless superstitions on the sea. Some seem strange today, but some sailors still cling to them. It's no wonder— the sea is an adventurous place, and many things happen there that can't happen anywhere else. Let’s look at this old classical myth today. This myth is about the drink. Over 2 billion cups of this drink are consumed every day worldwide… Can you guess what this drink is about? Here's another hint to help you out The first letter of this drink is “T”. . . . . . Tea? Well done! You got it - This superstition is all about the tea. So, let’s discover this old myth. "Never empty the teapot on a boat" In ancient times, when it came to emptying the pot, English fishermen had some very strange beliefs. They would never fully empty a pot of tea when they were out at sea because this represented them ‘pouring away’ all the fish they were hoping to catch. This meant that pouring away their tea would result in having to return home empty-handed. Also, their families back home wouldn’t empty their teapots on the day the fisherman set sail for fear of causing the boat to sink. P.S. If you don't know what's happening in the boating world, you'll be at the mercy of wheeler-dealers who want to take advantage of you. You need to understand the boat market and boat ownership like a boat boss. Understanding the boat market can help you avoid overpaying for a boat or making a purchase that doesn't meet your needs. It can also help you properly maintain and care for your boat, ensuring that it provides years of enjoyment on the water. Both will be displayed on the water, giving visitors a chance to explore and compare their layouts and features. Turkish yacht brand AIATA will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. The company operates under the Anadolu Group, a major Turkish conglomerate with a broad business portfolio. This background provides AIATA with a strong platform as it enters the global marine industry. The brand’s first model, the Wayfinder 38, will be presented in two configurations; the Cabin and the Suntop. Both will be displayed on the water, giving visitors a chance to explore and compare their layouts and features. The Wayfinder 38 has been designed by Finnish naval architect Jarkko Jämsén. It is a walkaround model featuring a beamy flared bow and twin-step hull, aimed at increasing deck space and improving performance. Twin outboard engine options will be available, with power configurations up to 850 horsepower and expected top speeds above 50 knots. The Cabin version will feature an enclosed pilothouse, L-shaped sofa, compact galley, and a private sleeping area with a queen-size bed. A separate head with a ceiling height of about two meters will support overnight stays. The Suntop version will offer an open layout with a fixed hardtop and an uninterrupted flow between interior and exterior spaces. One of the key aspects of the Wayfinder 38 is its modular design. Owners will be able to reconfigure seating, tables, and sunbeds, and even switch between open and enclosed deck structures. AIATA expects its modular concept to be a focal point of attention during the festival. The Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 will be the first opportunity for the public and industry professionals to experience the Wayfinder 38 in person, marking the start of AIATA’s presence in the European market. This new category within the Boat Guru® Marketplace & Digital Boat Brokerage is poised to redefine our approach to boat transactions. The Broker's Rolodex™ addresses the nuanced nature of digital boat brokerage, where certain vessels and their owners prefer a discreet route to buying or selling. Here, our seasoned boat brokers leverage their extensive networks and industry insights to confidentially connect boats for sale by owner with the right buyers. It also addresses the instances where boat owners, for various reasons, are not yet ready to list their boats in BASCO BoatSellPro® , where we help busy boat owners sell their boat 33% faser and at half the commissions. By including these owners boats in The Brokers Rolodex, it provides the opportunity for a Stage 1 "OMG That's Amazing!!!" Boat Match-Maker Deal to be struck in those first 1-3 months of the boat being available for sale, even without publically listing the boat for sale. See the diagram below, The Three Stages to a Boat Sale Therefore, these listings, often including valuable opportunities like affordable boats for sale, remain outside public visibility, aligning with our commitment to offering tailored, efficient, and mutually beneficial solutions for all stakeholders. This initiative is significant for several reasons: It bridges the gap between boat owners seeking discretion and buyers looking for exclusive opportunities. It forms a crucial part of the three-stage journey to a boat sale, where connections are facilitated seamlessly and with precision in Step 2 of the 3-Stages to a Boat Sale process (see above diagram) It represents an important step towards realizing our mission of revolutionizing the boat brokerage experience. The sporty new model is being built at their UAE production yard. Sunreef Yachts is getting ready to launch its latest power catamaran, “the Ultima 55”at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September. This will be the first time the boat is shown in Europe. Right now, it’s being built at Sunreef’s new shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Ultima 55 combines the speed of a monohull with the stability of a catamaran. Also, she has a modern and sporty design. The Ultima 55 is part of Sunreef’s growing Ultima line and will be shown at Vieux Port along with other models like the 80 Sunreef Power Eco and the 100 Sunreef Power. Sunreef’s CEO, Francis Lapp, recently spoke at their original shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland. He said the company is doing very well around the world, even though the US market has slowed down a bit. “This year has been amazing for us,” he said. “Our UAE shipyard is fully booked until 2027, and we already have 60 orders for the Ultima range.” The Ultima 55 is already in production. And there’s more coming. A new 66-foot model will be launched next year. Both boats have a new hull shape that makes them look sportier and more stylish. Sunreef’s PR Director, Artur Poloczanski, is also excited. “We can’t wait to show the Ultima 55 in Cannes,” he said. “It’s a fresh design that focuses on fun, luxury, and speed.” The Ultima 55 has lots of space for relaxing. It includes a semi-open lounge area, a large back deck, and fold-down platforms on both sides, perfect for sunbathing or spending time on the water. The boat runs on twin Volvo IPS 800 hp engines, and has fixed foils between the hulls to help it move smoothly. Sunreef’s appearance at the Cannes show shows its strong position in the luxury catamaran world. And the Ultima 55 is ready to shine. News credit: Information sourced from IBI News.
